Junior reacted to Rich in Adams has made my matte vinyl stripes a mess
Before you go adding more chemicals to the mix, I suggest you TEST it on a small spot and see if there's any reaction.  Right now it's probably fixable.  Doing more may make it worse.  Right now, the team is in Palm Springs for Barrett Jackson.  I have NO experience with these stripes so I don't want to give you advice on this, so maybe when Dan or Adam come back one of them can help you out with the right thing to do.  For now, I'd let it go.

I'm thinking that there are many different kinds of vinyl materials, at varying levels of age stages.  I have many vinyl letter logo'd vehicles and some react differently to products.  Some receive the product better than others.  I think I'd personally wait till your coatings are done and dry, then try cleaning your vinyl with waterless wash, maybe apc, to try and level out or remove the product.

I've used mine 6-7 times now since Christmas. Amazing. I love mine. In fact, I'll go on record as it being the best mit I've used. I have used micro fiber mits that were much fatter, plusher, held more fluid and maybe held a tad more suds, but the first thing I noticed what's how slick this mit is across the surface of the vehicle. This was also using it on a repeat car, same soap, same mixture, same LSP/surface prep on the car. It was so slippery, it immediately caught me by surprise and I thought something was wrong, LOL. Most of the microbier mits I've used have the big fat strands from the mit itself. This one has tiny tiny individual strands (in comparison) and that's what I feel/think/assume makes the difference. All those individual strands while not being able to hold as much suds, provides for much much more surface area. Surface area is a good thing for moving dirt off the surface of the paint. I also think the surface are of all those strands provided that slick, gliding feeling I get now.

Junior reacted to Greg from GA in Got the new polisher mounting bracket up
I got the new polisher mounting bracket mounted up.  Plus I got my new master blaster mounted to the wall as well - the 30' hose is enough to leave the unit mounted on the wall to use for me (I hope - untested that way other than to blow ALL the dust and cobwebs out of my garage.

Side note - thanks to Ryan@Adams for the tour of the Adams shop on Friday.  I was visiting a friend in Denver and Ryan showed us all around the warehouse and I got to demo a master blaster just as my very own was arriving here back home in Georgia.

Are you doing a full detail? If so, you might consider a strip wash first, then move on to clay, polish, seal, etc.

I hear ya. I will go around the car twice with the MB just to make sure I never have to towel dry. Anal and takes some more time, but having a black car with soft clear makes it a necessity for me.

Although last time I did a super thorough detail, I applied HGG to the plastic in my wheel wells using the dry method, and they looked great for far longer than when I used Undercarriage Spray. Just a thought.

    Billy,

You asked about the wash mitt. You will get a ton of opinions about what's better. I don't think you can go wrong with either option. Both are super soft and hold a lot of suds. The beautiful thing about the wash mitt is that it will release dirt and grime much easier than the wash pad. And it can be machine washed. I typically use multiple wash mitts per vehicle so I would recommend to pick one up to do mid section down on your washes. That should save your wash pad from getting built up with grime.

Junior reacted to Crooz1n in Another shout out for Adams excellent customer service.
I contacted customer support with a question on the viability of a product after I discovered it had mold in it. I had a gallon of rinseless wash on the shelf and had used maybe a pint out of it. While taking inventory before spring season started I decided to refill my 16 oz. Bottle that I use from and a big glob of mold came out. I filtered it out with a strainer but wasn't sure if I could still use it. Well let me tell you Ryan returned my email and happily replaced the product for me and even included a bottle of wheel cleaner. THANKS AGAIN!!
I continue to be impressed by service as well as products.

swirls and scratches on paint, bird bombs which people seem to think add to the look of their car based on how long they leave them on there. I roll around with a couple of plush waffle weaves, ID, DS, Glass Cleaner and Waterless or Rinseless (16:1) in my 4 bottle Adam's Bag. I will spend my break cleaning up any small details on the car.   I bring detailing products for my coworkers to try. ETC ETC ETC lol

Junior reacted to falcaineer in Remove haze from the inside of the windows?
Simply, if you haven't tried this BG "trick" already, do it.

I finally got time to apply it to the interior of my windshield (haven't done the rear view mirror yet, as Beemer suggested). Used the MF pad to apply, then a SST to remove the residue. Voila. Clean glass with no haze. And the car smelled like coconut...or at least until I used LC on the seats.

Soooooo happy with the results. Thanks for the tip, team Adam's!
