To all Adams loyalists. In the start of this thread I was venting small frustration. I'm as busy as the next guy when it comes to the extra time to make a phone call. I used this forum to air my issue. I missed a call today from Colorado which I was certain was a telemarketer. After seeing there was a voicemail I listened to it. It was Dan calling in person to apologize for my troubles and offer a solution. I will be calling back, and when I do I will be placing a very good size order to replace some things, and try some new products. This customer service, and the performance of the products is exactly why I can spend my money anywhere, but only choose to spend it here. Well done Adams!!!!!

    Hi Dave,

I'm sorry my response was not acceptable. I brought this to the attention of management, and I was informed that we do have a solution in the works to support the Flex 3401 polisher. We're all incredibly busy, so I was not aware that we recently received a shipment of the 4 3/8" Flex backing plates that will allow you to use our current 5.5" pads with the Flex.

We have not had time to shoot the product photo and create the web page for this item yet, but we will work as quickly as possible to have the backing plates added to our site.

I will try to give you a call now to resolve this issue.

    Respectfully,
    Dan@Adams

Oh yeah and this s probably something you already know, but do a section with the least aggresive method first. I have done just the finishing polish on my car where it had minor swirls and it came out excellent. Use what you do on the first section to get it where you want it to determine what you do on the remaining sections. Hope that makes sense. Nothing would be worse than doing the whole vehicle with one or two steps to realize you needed to add an additional one. Then you gotta go section by section all over again.

I just got off the phone, with Ryan at Adams and I must say he is great to work with! I have spoken to Ben a few times and have always been overly impressed. Ryan fits right in. Super guy, very helpful and as usual went above and beyond. He made good on a promise from Dan that I never collected on from close to a year ago. I am always amazed at how helpful the Adams team is. I should know by now they will always exceed my expectations. Kudos Ryan! Keep up the excellent work!!!

I haven't tried the new stuff yet so I can't say if I like it or not.  But,  every single time I clean the glass in either car I either put a bath towel on the dash or paper towels. I never spray any kind of glass cleaner directly on the glass without it.   Or you can try spraying the towel and wiping it on that way.  I get good results that way too.

I think Shane gave you some pretty good advice. Make sure you pick up a pad brush too. Those are crucial to keeping buildup out of the pads as you correct. I don't actually own either of those machines, but they are pretty much designed to offer similar performance and lower vibration operation like the Rupes. So yes they will be very novice and user friendly. There are several really good videos in the Forum and if you check out Adams on YouTube that will pretty much give you insight into how to polish with these products. If you have never polished before, I would give you this advice:

    1) Make sure you strip wash the vehicle and clay the surface (assuming it is rough) to prep it before you polish.

    2) Use a few drops of the Polish on foam pads to start on the first section and as you go, you can use less, but reactivate it with DS. Spread the Polish across the panel some before you even hit the trigger on your polisher.

    3) Don't put too much pressure on the polisher. Use really just the natural weight of your arm. As I understand it, these polishers really don't need a lot of pressure. They need to be level on the surface but pretty much do all the work for you.

    4) Slow arm movements are better. Don't wip the polisher back and forth. Move slow and steady across the section (2' x 2') in a side to side and up and down pattern.

Hope this helps and good luck with whatever decision you make.

I've been wanting to do some 'updates/upgrades' to the operating room at Autodermatology for a while now. Finally finished with my research and pulled the trigger!

New epoxy floors, garage doors, and openers!

I'm digging it! I think it looks great. I have 12' ceiling and I went with high lift tracks for the garage doors. This raised the doors almost to the ceiling and really opened up the area. It also gave me more room for additional lighting which I will add shortly. I also had wall mounted door openers installed in order to remove the old garage tracking/motors from the center of the ceilings.

I still need to add my additional lighting as well as do some painting on the ceilings and walls where some old supports were and it will be completely finished!

The floors are base coat, top coat, full broadcast with mica chips and then top coated. Baseboard was also added all the way around for a 'finished' look.

    Comments are welcome!!!

Adam and others are just trying to provide options for those experiencing issues. This problem some people are seeing doesn't appear to be a universal issue. For many people it is working just fine. I can say for certain I have had pretty good results with it on older vehicles. On my newer car, it doesn't seem to work well, but I am not sure anything will without some tweaks to my routine. I am going to go with Adams suggestion of using BG on it to see if that helps. I think my newer car has some off gassing film build up on the inside and that's why I am not getting it 100% clear.

It can be applied to the cured coating, and will not remove the cured coating, but the fillers in it would lessen the effect of the water-repelling properties of the ceramic coating.  As Jeff stated above, you would be better off using Ceramic Boost to maintain the water-repelling properties of the ceramic coating.

BG would only remove the uncured trim coating from the paint.  It will not remove any of the cured coatings.

I have a question, can brilliant glaze be applied over the top of the coating? Or will it remove the coating?

Update... Lori spoke to Ben at Adams and he was very helpful in providing insight and ideas to help correct the issue. He has it on his car and has had no issues since he put it on almost two years ago!  He even offered to help remove and reinstall the Ceramic trim!

This is great input, and we are listening....  New Glass Cleaner is coming.... And I must say, treating the glass first is what I do on every car I clean.

    1. Brilliant Glaze on interior glass.
    2. Clay and Glass Sealant on Exterior Glass.
    3. Easy time cleaning with a mist of Waterless Wash and a Waterless Wash Towel on all glass, once treated.

    Time for a video!

The solvent in the BG cuts any nasty stuff on the glass.  Seems new glass is the worst, but once I use Brilliant Glaze on the interior, it's a breeze to clean!

I believe I'm smelling troll. Considering this is your first post and it's just to bash. You should contact Adam's customer service(the best customer service hands down) and let them resolve this issue for you. If that doesn't work (which it will), then by all means come back to this thread and rant on.
