    Welcome to the forum!
  2. I think your best answer is going to be to take it back to whoever applied it and have them fix it. Because it's clear to everyone that it wasn't done right.............if at all.
  3. Absolutely. You want the graphene to adhere to the best conditioned paint it can. Wash, clay, polish, prep wipe, and apply the Graphene. You don't have to use a machine to polish, but it gives the best results. Most important thing is to follow all the steps, and maintain afterward for longevity.
  4. Welcome Jeremy! Can't wait to see pics of your ride! Yes, you can use the GCS over the PPF. No issues at all. I honestly have never used a power washer on my rides, even my daily driver and I live in snow country. Foam gun works just fine for me. Glad to have you join us.
  5. Introduce yourself in the New Member forum. Tell us about you rides and what Adam's products you use. Welcome.
  6. Obviously something wasn't applied correctly. Or if you had it done somewhere, they didn't do what they were supposed to do. Ceramic coated vehicles won't look like that ater rain. Or it may, if there was a lot of smoke or pollutants in the air when it rained. That almost looks like wet ash.
  7. Have motion lights put outside, and maybe a Ring system for security. Motion lights are one thing I have around my entire house and garage, and haven't regretted it once. About the only thing I'd have done different on your garage is I would have extended the concrete past the door. I'm such a klutz that I'd come out the door, turn right, and drop off that thing and break a leg. But that's going to be great once it's all done. You'll get years of pleasure and good times with it for sure. Thanks for the update Ray. Lookin real good.

Hey Angela. How about introducing yourself in the new member forum? This thread is 8 years old since the last reply. Welcome.

    Welcome to the forum!
  10. I do the full process, wash, clay, polish, prep, and coat on everything. And like you, I'm finding it's lasting a year or better with maintenance.
  11. Graphene DS is what I use. You want to use LIKE products. Think of it as Ceramics are black and Carnubas are white. When you mix the two together, you get gray. You don't want gray. Personally, I'd start with a good clay and polish (that's what brings out the best shine) before applying the Graphene Spray. But if you like to wax, get the Ceramic Paste Wax and top with the Graphene Detail Spray. I think you'll be impressed.
  12. Welcome to the forum Sean! Great looking rides!
  13. I actually use it both ways. As a drying aid and when it's dry. I do like Trap and use my Master Blaster first. Then wipe everything down with the GDS. Fantastic results on black.
  14. You can use any kind of towel that works for you. I'm not a fan of the green ones either.
  15. Welcome to the forum! I'm an "older" guy too (75), and just spent the day detailing my Equinox (black) before winter starts. I get real good results with the Spray Graphene Coating, but I also take the time to follow all the steps and do it right (wash, clay, polish, prep, coat). I'll have to get some pics tomorrow. Looks pretty darn good. But the spray coating is a lot more forgiving and easier to apply than the regular graphene products. Lasts about a year with proper maintenance. Nice looking truck youngster!!
  16. Black Equinox and a Vette, and since I have zero experience in going as far as a full Graphene coating and didn't want to screw it up, I went with the Spray Graphene Coating and been very pleased. Holds up real well, a lot better than I expected. And I figure about the time it needs done again, something else new will pop up that's even better than a 3 year or 7 year graphene coating, and I won't be "stuck".
  17. About the most I'd recommend would be to use a good brush on it. You don't want to get it wet. If you have spots or dirty areas, spray the cleaner lightly onto a micro cloth and wipe, then brush again after it's dry.
  18. I just realized today that I haven't washed the Equinox since July!! And it still looks great! A little dusty, some brake dust, but since ceramic coating it, it seems like everything just runs or blows off. Guess I better not wait much longer to get it ready for winter and cold weather.
  19. No, YOU'RE awesome! Thanks for sticking it out and being such a great asset to this forum Chris! All your work and help is appreciated for sure.
