  2. That is likely your culprit, then, yes. If you hadn't seen the video, Adam specifically says it's meant to be used with DS (~1:00 mark). He also clays with the car still wet for even more lubrication. Here's that video:https://youtu.be/D8FbkYmg2qI Adam states in his video this is not a replacement for the traditional clay bar. And in fact, it's meant more for when you do plan for a full correction. It would also really help people that detail lots of cars, speeding up the process. While to each his or her own, I'd offer these new tools are indeed meant for convenience, and when used as designed, can provide incredible benefit. But as always, if you buy and don't like them, their 110% gurantee is there for a reason. Either way, good discussion.
  3. ^^^Well done making her happy, Dustin. Another positive? That should only take about 7 minutes to wash, and maybe 27 to do a full detail!
  4. While I don't own the mitt, I'm wondering if the marks are left because there isn't enough lubricant on the surface?
  5. Slight clarification to Nathan's comments above - WW doesn't build up, but it does have/will leave behind a very small amount of shine enhancement. And it smells incredible!
  6. Sweet! Looks like the lady in the background may also be taking a pic of it!
  7. From one Air Force guy to another, welcome to the addiction, Derek! This is one you won't have to worry about a urinalysis for, so don't worry. Well, unless you ingest the chemicals! Ramstein?
  8. This forum is awesome! From someone still serving, I wanted to be sure and say "thank you" for your support. I know it sounds cliche, but it's truly an honor and privilege to serve this great country. To those serving overseas, away from friends and family, and/or in harm's way, keep safe. And for those of us at home, stay safe, too, and enjoy the festivities. God bless the USA!
  9. ^^^Awesome to hear and see, Craig! Those both look great. I am curious, though...does the Patriot (which I've never used) really last 2+ months? I know mileage will vary, but for a vehicle outside all the time, especially a "darker" color (i.e., higher surface temps), is that normal? Just wondering if he/you really is/are still seeing the Patriot in action or now just the PS (which I love and use regularly).
  10. ^^^I'm sure this is one time, Rich, that you don't mind something shining brighter than your Vette...that pretty little girl's beautiful smile!
  11. Well done, Sherri! We own 2 Kias, so no worries about not driving anything "fancy"...as long as it shines, and even if it doesn't just yet, no judgement. We are all friends here! For future reference, here's another good video on how to easily maintain your daily. It somewhat lines up with comments above about using water as extra clay lubricant:
  12. Just noticed, but no polish this time, Sherri? 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water also works great to remove clay (and polish) residue. Use it with the WW towels, if you have some. Using this, I dont wash the car again before PS. Just a thought.
  13. Sweet ride. Maybe drive back and forth a few feet each, enough to knock the rust off but not too much "mess things up."
  14. Dustin alluded to it, but I'll take it a step further on the clay. You will be stretching and folding, stretching and folding, etc., so the contaminants, DS, etc, will become encapsulated in the clay. No need to dry it off or anything. You'll also notice the bar will become larger over time, and that's because of all that stuff now inside. But definitely put it back in the container. If you haven't already, watch Adam's video on the claying process for some tips. And yes, please post some pics!
  15. Just to be clear, your car was blue before using the blueberry DS, right?! Either way, looks shiny!!!
  16. Ahh, newlyweds! Enjoy every minute. I do hope the phone is waterproof...or at least that Breyanna has steady hands!
  17. With those rides, lots of folks on here will be anxiously awaiting them... Follow the directions here: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/2044-how-to-upload-a-picture-to-your-post/.
  18. Don't clay when the landscape crew next door is cleaning up with a blower, generating a TON of dust in the air. Guess where it settled?!
  19. , Cindi! Really happy to hear you like it. HGG is my favorite Adam's product to date. Any pics of your rides? What other products do you use? For your daily, I'd highly recommend you pick up some PS, using the HGG as a boost every 3-6 washes. And then, if you want to take your cars to a whole other level beyond this combo, get some BG. Simply...wow! Here's a great article on sealants, waxes, etc., as well as layering: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/27631-faq-should-i-use-wax-or-sealant-on-my-car/
