Well, I owned a Monterey Red Metallic C6 Corvette for over 10 years and finally decided it was time to upgrade.  I picked up a 2015 Velocity Yellow loaded C7.  The car had been owned previously by someone that looked at it as just a way to get from point A to B.  So of course, it needed a full-on detail.  Really for the last step later today of applying the Graphene Ceramic Spray.  Here are a few pictures of my C6 and now the C7.

    Thank you for the advice!

I started brushing off the face plate with a dry detailing brush.  A lot of the big dirt came off, I was surprised.  For some reason, I looked at a picture of the original face plate and noticed a difference.  The new face plate doesn't have the buttons for heated seats.

No big deal.  I was more after the screen for the radio.  Got that in and it worked!  And I didn't have any extra parts!!!

I absolutely concur with Chris on this one.  He recommended getting one for my wife's vehicle and without a doubt it is the best drying towel that I've ever used.

    Hello everyone,
So I have been through a few gallons of CS3 , have a bottle of Graphene CS3 and Detail spray. All 3 I have been rotating back and forth on which one I'm gonna use when I maintenance wash my car. I'm Ceramic Spray Coated. Pitch Black Paint.
Anyway tonight I decided to break out old Reliable in pink detail spray the original. Man with all todays technology and advancement in spray detailers and waterless wash products , sometimes you just can't beat Pink Detail spray. It leave a different kind of shine, a different kind of drying agent feel , a different kind of clean up spray after you used it as a drying agent and used it for water drips after a good blow.
Man Adam's should NEVER stop making regular Pink Detail Spray, the smell, how good it is, how it feels on a spray coated car that well maintained and not daily driven, it's a garage queen most of the time.

Thank you Adam's Polishes and whoever made Detail spray from the start. We have wonderful new and exciting products in Ceramic and Graphene but sometimes you just need detail spray in your life.

    Thanks again,

RayS got a reaction from falcaineer in Preparing for Spring 2020
It is summer of 2022 and I finally have the plywood on the walls and it is starting to look like a garage inside.  The summer has been a challenge between the heat, the loss of my mother and my wife's father, so the structural work has been going real slow.

We're finally at the point to start focusing on the ceiling which will follow the pitch up to the center section which will be installed as a flat section.  Once the ceiling is in, I'll be able to mount all my lights permanently along with the putting in the ceiling fans.  From there I'll finish the walls and install the cabinets and workbench.    The first 8 feet of the walls, the yellow pine plywood, will most likely just be painted.

I'm still undecided on what I want to do with the upper section of the walls, the Plytanium.  There won't be anything installed on the upper part beyond a speaker and a few lights, so it is more about what will look good and be easily maintained given how high it is.   If I can find the right Mustang and Bowtie lights, that would make it easier to figure out what to do with the ends.

Yes, I know the the lawn mower is dirty.  It will get a proper wash, polish and Graphene coating this winter.

Fall is getting closer and the temps will come down and make it possible to work outside for more than a few hours in the morning.

I have tried every product out on the market and for the price and the quality of the Adams Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating is by far the best vehicle product out there! If you get your paint correction done and clean it with a 50:50 isopropyl alcohol and distilled water prior to applying it will make your paint feel super slick and shinier than anything else you can buy for a great price! Easy to apply and wipe off plus the customer care is awesome! I do some detail work on the side and all of my customers can’t believe how beautiful their vehicle looks when they come pick it up!!

RayS got a reaction from Fit08 in Polishing Pad Life
The life of a pad is dependent on many factors.  I've had them last so long that I have no idea how old they are.  I have also shredded one within minutes of putting it on - there was a sharp object that I didn't notice.

If you don't over heat the pad, change them often when working on a vehicle, clean and store them properly, you should get 100+ vehicles from each one.  I know I have some that have gone well beyond that and some have been less.  More often than a pad being worn out is catching it on body part and cutting it that way. The ultra soft waxing pads are the ones I go through the most of, they so soft and tear rather easily.

The one way to ruin a good pad is to set it down and forget to clean it for a couple of weeks.

Even the pad is not longer viable for the Swirl Killer, don't throw it in trash just yet.  Cut it apart into strips.  Those strips can be used to get into the places where a machine won't go.  Between the weather stripping and body panel around the trunk, under the door handles, the end of the hood, hood ornaments, fog lights.  I find places all the time to use a cut up pad where the machine just won't get there.

RayS reacted to TR6speed in Graphene Advanced Spray Coating Application
Ok, so the past few days I have been getting the car prepped to apply the Graphene Advanced Spray Coating.  The prep as you all know is the hardest part and that is why the professional detailers charge so much.  First let me say my car is not a daily driver and is garage kept and most of the time it is covered, so the finish on my car was not in bad shape only a few spots that took a little time to correct.  I started with the One Step Polish and pad and worked on the areas that needed the most work.  From there I switched to the white pad and the standard polish to finish the correction and prep.  Today I went and used the Surface Prep.  For some reason I had a lot of trouble with any of the different towels that I tried leaving lint and towel fibers plus what looked like polish residue.  I finally went with the blue waterless drying towels and that did the trick.
While this is the first time to use the Graphene product, I had previously used the UV Ceramic spray.  I did find that I had an issue with the double soft towers again when I went to remove the coating that they wanted to leave a lot of lint/fibers where the coating ended, and the non-coated surface was.  I decided that it was the towels and not the product because after trying a few different towels I no longer had that issue.  So those towels will only be used for dirty work and will no longer be used on the paint.
The application was straight forward however I live in Florida so the temp is high as well as the humidity, so I started by only doing a small area at first fearing it would flash before I ever got a larger area completed.    Once I decided that I had the time to say do a complete fender it went a lot faster.  One thing I did learn was don't keep spraying the applicator pad for every panel.  They get overloaded and will lay down too much product and that adds to the flash time and the ease of removal.
I have to admit the finish on the car is like a mirror now.

RayS reacted to TR6speed in Minor Correct and Polish
I am going to apply the Graphene  Spray Advanced Ceramic tomorrow and I just completes the paint correction today.  The paint was not in bad shape and really only needed some minor correction in a few areas.  Besides not being a daily driver it is garage kept and I have a very strict wash method, so swirls and small scratches are never a real issue.  After a full bath a few days ago I did the plastic baggy test to see if I needed to clay the finish and the paint was smooth as can be seeing I did a full clay of the paint a year ago.
So I started with the One Step Polish and the One Step Pad and did the areas that show paint correction needed.  I then switched over to the plan polish and white pad for the majority of the car.  Tomorrow I will wipe the car down with the Surface Prep and then apply the Graphene Advance Spray coating.
Here are a few shots of the polish and correction.

Similar to @Rich I have used Polish and the white pad on the Mustang and it worked well.  I have also found that if something a bit more aggressive is needed for an area one step on a different white pad will usually do the trick.

    Hi Ahmed,
If you choose to do a ceramic or graphene coating it has to go on top of the film.  One of the common things to do is put PPF in the areas where the vehicle will host the most abuse, the front, behind the wheel wells and the rocker panels.  Then you can coat the entire vehicle.  The PPF will help protect against rock chips and such, although some can still leave marks.  The coating will keep the vehicle looking good for a longer time and make it easier to keep clean.

Pictures always help with showing the item to get the best recommendation, but I'll make the best judgement call that I can based on your description.     For the Mustang, I used the Black Trim Restorer, https://adamspolishes.com/collections/wheel-tire-cleaning-liquids-chemicals/products/adam-s-black-trim-restorer

This is another product that a little goes a long way.  I did the Mustang in three passes, adding a thin coat three days in a row.  The Mustang was in the garage and I was reconditioning the top at the same time with a different product, so no weather touched it between coats.  The picture is the best one I have of the Cowl shortly after it was done.   The Cowl is the original 1998 Cowl and it has not been repainted.

RayS got a reaction from shooterjgs in CS3 and Graphene detail mix...
    Hi Johnny,
I had a similar situation and decided not to mix them.   My reasoning was that I didn't want the dilute the Graphene CS3 and I had enough vehicles with regular ceramic coatings that I knew I'd work through the original CS3.  When I first started that routine, I was using the original CS3 about 3 times for one time of the Graphene CS3 and now it is about the opposite.  I'm down to maybe 24 ounces of the original left and within another month so, that will be gone.

Of note, the original CS3 works good for doing the bug removal even on Graphene coated vehicles.  I'll grab the original CS3, do the front end to get the bugs off and then do the entire vehicle with the Graphene CS3 afterwards.

After over 5 years my tonneau cover got a hole in it and need to be replaced.  The new cover arrived and was put on today and received a Graphene Coating.   For the smaller boxes, I do the coatings in 4 sections and the first picture shows the first section once it was done.  The different the coating makes it pretty substantial.  The second picture is once the entire cover is complete.

Of note, with the Graphene Coating, I cannot see it flash so I have to go by feel or 3 minutes, whichever is shorter.

The South Carolina heat and humidity do keep things interesting from May to October.  I've found that if I can do the final prep in the evening and them start early enough in the morning to allow a final wipe down and enough time to complete coating before the heating index will get 95, it comes out fine.   I've found that the higher humidity it more challenging that than just the temperature, but the combination of high humidity and heat push me and the chemicals past a workable state.
