I guess the big picture is that while Dylan's voice is gone, his knowledge has been passed on to all of us in the videos and threads, and we can pass it along to others,.  Nick (and others from Adam's) will become the voice to the newer folks, just as Dylan and the others before him were the voice to me.

Total Interior Detailer is just a 'clean' smell, but does not linger too long.  Leather Conditioner does smell like leather, so maybe the way to go.  But you will need to use LIC first.  A 50% dilution of LIC & water would be the place to start.

Trevor, go ahead and put your order in now with the USA code so you can save 15% off!

Once the OOS items are back in stock, you can put in an order for them and I'll ship it to you for free.  No need for you to get dinged twice for shipping because of our inventory shortfalls.

    How does that sound?

The show must go on!  I understand people being concerned, but this is just part of a business.  Unless you see Adam himself leave, do not worry.

I have had the pleasure of working with Dylan and consider him a personal friend, always welcome at my home.  I have worked with Lynn and feel the same.  Both good people.  I have worked with or met multiple other former Adam's employees.  Some not even mentioned here.  Even though Adam's offers a family feeling, it is still a business and just a job to many.

I work at a family run pharma company, currently about 30 employees, just a little larger than Adam's.  For years, we had the same 12 employees.  We tried to expand to 30 employees, and during that time we lost almost all of the original employees.  We tried to expand the last couple years to 40 employees, and we ended up going through a bit of an employee shift and are back down to 30.  This doesn't mean the people we who left or were fired are bad people, it simply means the company is not a fit for the employee.  Also, because we are small, there is not a lot of room for people to climb the ladder.  The same is true for Adam's.  Therefore, good employees, like Dylan, will eventually outgrow the company.  You have seen Mook pursue his dream of having his own company and doing what he truelly loves.  Both employees are good people and the company is a good company, but the company is no longer a match for them.

The moral is it is easy to grow, it is extremely difficult to grow quality.  Growth is essential for Adam's to be competitive on a price basis.  However, Adam's prides itself on providing quality products.  You will see the company struggle with not only employees, but products, as it attempts to grow.  This is a good thing and will result in the highest quality products at the most competitive prices.

Adam's products are the best on the market and his employees are top notch!  Give the team a little slack and I'm sure they will step up to meet the challenge!

    Good luck Adam's in 2014!!

I would definitely make sure to put a coat of sealant on the wheels after using Deep Wheel Cleaner. See my other thread about using DWC often, for my normal maintenance washes I prob only need to deep clean my wheels 2-3 times a year and I seal them afterwards for tight beading and protection.

I do this type of work for a company called Creative Colors International, in a nut shell, we fill the scratches with a leather filler that is sanded smooth and redyed to match, I do work for a few detail shops in my area, they offer the service and I come in and do the work, they take the credit for it. Probably what most detail shops do, as it would be a big expense for them to purchase the equipment to do it themselves

100lbs!  Wow, that's fantastic Scott. Quite a success story, CONGRATULATIONS!

I must say, when I went from 205 to 235,  I started snoring like crazy.  My wife was kicking me in the back nightly!

Just dropping 20lbs made all the difference, and like you said, just dropping 20 bottles of Buttery Wax from my frame made all the difference!  (Some call it dog food, others, Buttery Wax!)

Dropping bread, beer, dairy, red meat, and adding much fruit and vegetables basically does one very noticeable thing for me:  Keeps the  digestive tract clean.  Talk about a quick way to lose 20lbs!  Let it FLOW!

Another quick weight loss strategy that worked for me: Skipping, or eating a small dinner.  Enjoying a healthy breakfast, (no bacon, cheese, or meat) then snack on nuts and fruit.   Then, a healthy lunch, like a chicken or salmon salad, (no bread or meat,) cardio exercise, and then a small mainly vegetable dinner.  Going to bed overly buzzed, or with a full stomach always made me lazy, which perpetuated itself into a lazy and less active next day.

This advice is valued at EXACTLY what you paid for it!  $0.00.....but I'm carrying 20 bottles of Buttery Wax less now, and hope to drop another 15 bottles by summer.....

Let's keep it up, and I want to keep reading about your success friends!!

I just wanted to comment about Adam's customer service. I got my shipment last week and due to rough handling by FedEx, I had a sprayer head damaged and the top caps on a bottle of Car Shampoo and a bottle of Buttery Wax were both damaged. By the time I got off work and called the customer service number, nobody was there so I left a message explaining what happened, along with my contact info. About an hour or so later I saw I had a new voicemail. It was Ashley at Adam's Polishes, she left me a message saying that they would send me out a new sprayer and bottle caps asap. I have to give two thumbs up for Adam's customer service! So many other companies would tell you to take it up with the shipper since they are the ones who damaged it. But Adams goes above and beyond to please their customers. That's one of the reasons I can justify paying for Adams products even though they are more expensive than the next guy. They perform like no other, plus the best customer service to stand behind their products, its a WIN-WIN!!!

This is highly disappointing, not the fact that Adam's won't be carrying the FLEX anymore, but the fact FLEX has sold out to the Chinese.

I just purchased my first ever FLEX right after Christmas, a brand new FLEX PE14-250 rotary polisher and I absolutely love it! After years of using a Makita 9227C, the FLEX is much lighter and easier to control. It's a real shame, it's getting harder and harder to buy non-Chinese tools. Even Snap On has more Chinese made stuff versus USA made.

I just hope, for FLEX's sake, they still manufacture their tools in Germany and don't adopt the classic Apple line of "Desgined in California, Made in China' BS.

While I've been somewhat absent from the forum due to the slow detailing season that is called winter and having our hands full with our 8 month old son, I have been able to lurk around and keep up to date.  I will just say, all the present staff is doing an amazing job. I see no change beside a name and a face. We still receive our infromation and share the knowledge of these amazing products Adam's offers to us. We still have our Daily Specials and holiday sales. Everything is just fine to me.

Just to take this discussion a bit further, you also want to be minful of what kind of car you are foaming.  My general rule works like this: For modern, daily driver type cars I have no reservations using the power washer/cannon combo:

For high-end & exotic vehicles that do not have a reputation for being leaky or rust prone, I dial it back a bit and use a hose/foam gun combo:

For classics, kits, and other rust prone vehicles, forgo foam altogether and always use a waterless or rinseless wash to avoid any complications:

Friends, I have some news regarding the polishers we promote and offer:

For years, Adam’s has sold and promoted the Flex 3401 VRG polisher.   Its true dual-action motion and heavy-cutting capability has helped it earn a solid reputation in the industry.  Simply put, we don’t promote Chinese manufacturing, and the new owner of Flex is a Chinese company.

With the release of our new Paint Correcting and Finishing Polishes, especially in conjunction with the Microfiber Polishing Pads, we have found that the American-Made Cyclo Dual-Head Random Orbit Polisher and our new polishing system provide equivalent results, with enhanced safety.

We have decided to discontinue selling the Flex Polisher, not only because they are now a China-owned company.  There are several reasons why we chose to promote the only USA manufactured polisher:
The Cyclo Polisher is made in the USA, here in Colorado The Cyclo Polisher is the safest polisher in the category. Cyclo Polishers have the lowest repair/ fail rate of all polishers we have ever promoted. We, and our customers have achieved excellent, safe, and consistent results with the Cyclo. I personally prefer the Cyclo, and find it more comfortable to use, and easier to get into tight spots. Regardless what car you have, safety is key, and we like to offer the safest, most effective paint correcting system. We will continue to service the Flex Polishers that we sold.
Thanks for your understanding, and you will see more Cyclo videos and kits coming soon!

When we detailed this 1939 Mercedes Benz 540K, using only the Cyclo, I realized, this was the only tool we needed to offer.  (And that wasn't just because the $6.7M car won Best of Show at the Concours the following weekend!)

Enjoy the photos, and if you have any questions, just ask!

    Sincerely,

Pretty sure that will need a machine.
i would start with by claying the area.  Then move on to your Flex.  It will probably need the MF pads to remove, but start with an Orange foam and PCP (least aggressive method first approach).  Follow-up with PFP on a white foam pad and it should be gone!
