DonJuan692006 got a reaction from THE Mook in New car with ResistAll detailing questions...
You could honestly try Googling care instructions but I would wait until you have the paperwork. Some of them you can't even wax or it'll void the warranty.

DonJuan692006 got a reaction from GerryC in What product did it?
Not a product, but it was the forums that were the final kill. A member over on the All Ford Mustangs forum tipped me off to Adam's. So I got on here and posted what I wanted to do and asked what I needed to make it happen. Gerry (GerryC) gave me a very quick and informative answer. I told my girlfriend about it and she grabbed me to Cyclo Ultimate kit as a belated birthday present and I've been hooked ever since.

DonJuan692006 got a reaction from dsaldana in What Did You Wash, Shine, and or Polish Today
Finally got started on my GF's new Explorer. Cleaned the wheels and wells up. Scrubbed all the trim with two parts water/one part APC mixed, the lug brush, and the fender brush. Did a strip wash with three oz of APC mixed in with the shampoo. Dried her off with some DS, a GWT, and my Sidekick. Finished the night off by claying the windows, sealing the front with Glass Sealant, and sealed the sides and back with QS. More to come tomorrow.

DonJuan692006 got a reaction from JJ Stin in What cell phone do you use?
The S4 is hands down the best phone I've owned to date. The cool thing is that you can test drive it for two weeks and send it back or take it to a store if you don't like it.

DonJuan692006 got a reaction from Periodic in Lease or Finance, very undecided
Completely away from your actual question but where are you looking to purchase from? My girlfriend and I just picked up a 2014 Explorer XLT with 4 miles on it for $30k USD, which is just under $31k Canadian. A quick check shows that you may be able to save a few grand by going that route.

DonJuan692006 got a reaction from JJ Stin in What cell phone do you use?
I've never used an iPhone and have thought about giving it a go. The biggest issue I have with the iPhone is how locked down it is though. I like having choices out how my display is played out, what buttons do what, multi-window, being able to over clock and undervolt to have better control over battery usage, etc. The only thing that interests me about the iPhone is the fact that I've never used it.

That's when you just do what I do...replace the seats .

When, while washing your car, you're mulling what you're going to post about the wash on AdamsForums.com.

DonJuan692006 got a reaction from doombert in 2000 Chevy S-10 Xtreme - A Work In Progress
Well I had this long, lengthy post about what brought me to buying this truck, but I managed to hit "backspace" while not click in the text box and lost all of it. It took me about 40 minutes and I honestly would rather throw my laptop at the wall rather than type it all out right now. This is a truck that will be a work in progress over the next few weeks and I wanted to bring you guys/gals along for the ride. This is my fourth S-10 and I'm only 25 if that gives you any clue to how much I love these little trucks. Anyways, here are some pictures of what I'm up against to get started.

DonJuan692006 reacted to LFairbanks in Detailing costs for a car
Your probably going to get a lot of different opinions on this. My thought is do what makes you feel good and the person your doing it for feels good about. Whether it be hourly rate or by the job. I would suspect by the job in this instance would be the way to go. If anything your just going to get more experience out of it. And if it is something you enjoy doing don't look at as a money maker, but something you enjoy doing and gaining of experience. As your experience dictates you can then expand on your prices. The biggest key IMO is to do good work.

DonJuan692006 got a reaction from Periodic in Lifter Failure on my G8 :-(
Honestly that would be up to the dealer but I will tell you that switching to performance and not OEM parts will void it from the car manufacturer. You'd only still have one if the parts manufacturer provides one. You can always fight a warranty claim if you think your mods are not the cause of a failure depending on how much money you want to throw at a court battle.

If you can't clean it up, a can of PlastiDip will fix it.

SVRT. That stuff can last for a while when applied to a clean surface depending on weather of course.

Welp...that was a bust. Cleaned the plastic off and applied a liberal coat of BG with no change in the scratches. They are very shiny now though.

DonJuan692006 got a reaction from LarryR in Time between Applications
Nope since the sealant will keep the car protected. Just make sure you re-wash real well before applying the other two.
