shmedley got a reaction from RayS in Last Annual Cars and Covid Car Show
@RayS My old man bought a demo 83 Charger back in 84 because I liked the sunroof and how big it was and I was kinda hooked on these little cars since then. (Which my pleasantly round self can still fit through today)
He drove that till he gave it to me when I got my license in 95, with only doing basic maintenance to it, until I killed it of course. I do remember going past dealers and seeing them back in the day cause it looked like the car we were in and I wanted one then.

@shmedley I drove a 1982 Dodge Charger 2.2 from Elizabeth City, NC to Kodiak, AK and back to Upstate, NY. It was a great little car for the time, but wasn't made for the Alcan. The second trip to Alaska was in a Ford Bronco II, Eddie Bauer edition.

shmedley reacted to BRZN in Spring Carlisle 2020 New Date
Show wasn't bad, weather was real nice with just one brief storm after we'd closed on Friday evening. Perhaps a third less vendors in the midway, and I heard gate entries were down by about half. My guess; about 1/4, or a bit less wore masks once through the gates. Masks had to be worn to enter. Our sales numbers were pretty good, being above where they were in 2017 and there were no Sunday sales this year with it being Father's Day, so one day less for the Event. We tried our best to adhere to the CDC guidelines to keep ourselves, and our customers as safe as possible.
We set up differently to allow a better flow through our space, having the tables of product on the outsides, leaving the center for upright cabinets with plenty of room for Social Distancing. We limited the numbers of bottles of product per table.
All my Team Members wore masks
Notice a tube of disinfecting wipes at both cash boxes to keep the area wiped down and clean, as well as a bottle of Hand Sanitizer by Dan to be used between customers.
We had only one clearly marked way in
and one clearly marked way out
with every other possible way in roped off.
Social Distancing placards were throughout our store
The line to the point of sale registers was labeled at six foot intervals
Can't wait to be back for the Chrysler Nationals in early July!

We'll be in our normal location at the end of the Midway in Row IE. You can't miss us, look for the large inflatable Detail Spray Bottle on top of our trailer. hope to see you there!
I should have two cases of the newly released Slick & Slide arriving sometime after my pallets of product. First come first served! I also have some products I'm letting go at 50% off!

shmedley reacted to 06Z06DSOM in ceramic coat intake manifold.
I just pulled my pontiac 455 and spent hours cleaning it all up. The intake was worse. I put wheel coat on exhaust tips of vette and it holding up great how about on aluminum manifolds maybe heads? Does it hold in heat like the traditional ceramic coating(not a good thing)
Still a work in progress

It's quite possible they could put together a trio. I can ask if there are any plans for that!

shmedley reacted to Mike E. in Shout Out For All The Help
Wanted to give a shout out to Charles and Adam (not Adam Pitale).
Had issues with my Micro Polisher and contacted customer service via email. Received a quick reply from Charles who asked me to bring it back to the warehouse. I went the following day. Unfortunately Charles was not in when I arrived. I was assisted by another gentleman, I didn't get his name. He looked over the polisher and saw the problems. He asked if I wanted a refund or replacement. I told him I would like it replaced as I really enjoyed using the polisher while it worked. He had Adam get a new Micro Polisher and replaced the unit. Can't ask for more than that.
I decided to walk around the showroom since I was there. Can be an expensive proposition if I'm left to wonder for too long. This when I got to talk with Adam. A very pleasant young man and I enjoyed talking with him. Adam took great care of me and I left with some great products.
I am a loyal customer due to the great product line and equally great staff. Keep up the great work!

Time sure flies! Tried my hand at another cake for a friends birthday...it is a Sandworm from a Nightmare Before Christmas! Even the big open mouth is cake covered in modeling chocolate...the "sand" is crushed up biscoff cookies! The bottom is three layers of vanilla butter cake & homemade swiss meringue vanilla buttercream.

shmedley reacted to Furyan in Quick couple of questions about Exterior Protection
So I've got a brand new vehicle, last one was Tboned and totalled a couple months ago. It came with a factory sealant so my washing routine was based off of that, established and good to go. With my new vehicle I opted out of the sealant this time because I wanted to get more hands on with Adam's various products and do more myself.
So needless to say with the basic paint and clearcoat now, my washing and mostly exterior protection methods will be totally different and I need some opinions on the directions I should take now. I'll list below the products I recently purchased and hopefully you guys n gals will chime in on what's the best options for layering products, upkeep ect. Overall I wanna experiment and see what produces the best protection and shine! Thanks.

shmedley reacted to Rich in What Am I Doing Wrong (Glass Cleaning)
Do what I did. ASK your wife to clean the windows inside. Tell her that her hands are smaller and you can't get into the corners. Then when it's done, tell her how GREAT the windows look, and that you could never get them to look that good. After that, she'll want to do them all the time. Just don't let your wife know I told you.
