Just saw your interested in the cyclo for sale. If I were you, I'd keep the PC and use it for a small 4" polisher. It works great on scratches and headlights.

Wow, I've read this thread countless times and I still learn something new every time! And just when I think I've seen it all, you amaze me with another post on how flawless you can make a vehicle.

My dog has a panic attack anytime the vacuum cleaner comes out.  I can only imagine what she would think if I tried to use that to dry her.  She's 12, and to this day has NEVER been attacked by the vacuum....not sure why she's so afraid of it.

I gotta say, I'd never even think about complaining about the prices paid for these products.  This industry is funded by discretionary spending.  There is not 1 of us that actually NEED these products.....we all just want them.  If this was about the price of bread or the funding to teach my kids at school then I would find the need to assert my opinion.  Everything I get from here is all just for "fun".  
 
I realize there are ways to rationalize this into a need of some sort, but all in all this is just a hobby (even though some of us make a living off of this hobby).

I'd still question the actual prep work. Strip wash is one thing, and claying the car is another. Maybe one needed it, and the other didn't. Hard to speculate with not seeing them in person.
 
But to your point, there's usually a sale to help with the price. And the bottle is way better than the competition.....meaning your product will stay in top condition for longer. That translates to lower cost since you won't have as much waste from product going bad.

Put a couple of bath towels across the dash before you clay it. Then all the overspray will land on the towel....not on the leather dash.

You should have gone with 1 gallon of Waterless, and 1 gallon of Rinseless. When your Waterless runs out, mix up a gallon of 16:1 Rinseless in the empty gallon, and you back in business! That route is way cheaper!

A 16oz bottle is more than enough for my 3 daily drivers to last a year. I usually only need it in spring and fall, when I reapply my LPS.

Have you tried to sheet rinse your vehicle prior to drying? On my Traverse, I barely need 1/2 of a drying towel to completely dry all of it when I sheet rinse. That would help save your laundry load!
