It would be nice if Adams had local sections of the forums.  Not just for trading.

I've only done one trade so far and I probably won't do anymore. The trade went fine no problems.

The problem is the shipping costs. Add up the cost of the product and shipping and it just isn't worth it.

There’s a reason there aren’t many chemical manufacturers marketing a “strip wash.” It’s a product looking for a solution. If done properly, a full detail will remove it all.

Not to mention that if you really want to help with stripping, you can add a few ounces of APC to your wash. Strip wash as a stand alone product is just another product to purchase and manage.

I found that the wash and wax soap on it’s own does a really good job of removing bugs.
I always had a hard time with removing bugs when I used the regular blue car soap.

Asti113 reacted to funkymonkey1111 in Suggestion to the Adam's team: Product Line flowchart
First of all, know that I love Adam's stuff.  Living in Denver, it's great to be able to pop up to the HQ and pick up what I need, when I need it (be it Louisville or Thornton).

One thing that might be helpful is a product line flowchart/compatibility chart.   I acknowledge there may be a downside to saying "don't use this with that...." and I also realize that if you watch all the Adam's vids this information can be collected, but here's an example:

H20 Guard and Gloss:  This is a great product--one of the best out there.   But supposedly you don't use this with ceramic coated cars.   So, there might be a "wax path" chart.   Then perhaps a "sealant path" chart.   Finally, a "ceramic path" chart---with attending why one would use any particular approach.

As I've said, I think the content is already out there--but in multiple places.   For instance, in the original ceramic vids, Adam says one would use this when the vehicle is kept outside, driven in the winter/chemicals, etc.  Whereas someone on the "wax path" (or whatever you want to call it) is waxing a show car or a car that's kept inside and driven infrequently.  Like I said, these aren't necessarily secrets, but for a casual user (or even a sorta-casual, sorta-weekend detailer user) it's nice to have ready reference.   Heck, maybe it's out there and I've missed it.

To clarify, for what you have in order of cutting power form least to most, they'd be yellow/red (same pad, just different color), blue, then orange. Agreed with @Rich, use for intended purpose and you'll be good.

I highly recommend you call the HQ to figure out the best time to go by, meet Adam, etc. You might also consider, instead, coming for the clinic next Sat, 5 May, organizes by @Norton. Adam is supposed to be there, plus a great time to see behind the scenes. See here for details.

If you do come, bring your Mini so I know how to find you. It may even be the one picked for a demo detail, you never know.

VRT may be watery but it should still be fine.
I still have some buttery wax from that era and its ok.
Detail spray probably just needs shaken up before use.
And the red soap is one of my favorites and should still be fine.

Sent them to a paint guy.  High temp paint, not powdercoat.  Chose him because he also had the ability to custom make the labels to match the font of the emblems on the car.  I paid dearly for it but they're gorgeous, so....

Asti113 reacted to bagration in Shout out to the Australian Distributors of Adams
Just want to say a big thankyou to the Australian Adam's supplier team. I had a minor problem with my order (a product of equal value had made it's way into my order instead of the hose sliders). So at 10 pm on a monday night last week I wrote an e-mail outlining the problem. At 1015 pm I got a reply from the Adams Team (asking me for a copy of my invoive). I supplied it...and then went to bed...but they didn't because in the morning when I checked my e-mail the good folks of Adams had replied at 1110 pm saying that the sliders would be in the post on the tuesday. And I had them on the wednesday.

So publicly I say thankyou for marvellous customer Support from Amy at the Adams Premium Car Care Australia. Legend.

We have usually two sales per month when new items hit the dock or have been bottled up and ready to launch, sometimes three if it's a 5-week month. We're not the only company to do something like this, but I have zero control or say into how our sales work. Retail clothing stores (both online and in-store) have sales almost every weekend, grocery stores have sales each week, etc. Prices are in-line with other premium products in our industry, and if you feel that they did not meet your expectations for performance or results, that is why we have the 110% satisfaction guarantee.

We will not be at a price-point of store-bought products, unless we reduce the quality and types of chemicals we use, which then reduces ease of use and results. The focal point of the company is to offer premium car care products, but we still need to make some money to keep the doors open. Shoe cleaner and other extremely limited promotions are done as fun promotions and tests to gauge reactions and reach out to people that may have never heard of our company before.

Let's clear something up, we would not intentionally do any sort of price hiking.

Single Soft Towels went from $8.99 to $9.99 when we changed the supplier to the much higher quality towel that we have now, with satin edging and a higher GSM count, about 2 years ago.

H2O Guard & Gloss has always been $19.99 for the 16oz bottle, unless when it goes on sale for $14.99 for a daily special or other sale price.

Leather Conditioner went up to $29.99 with the new formula change several months back, more expensive chemical for higher quality and longer durability. This is why we also introduced the 8oz bottle since we did realize that $29.99 is on the high side. It will occasionally drop down to a $24.99 sale price as well though.

If you have Wash & Wax try that for cleaning 'maintained' wheels.  I keep some pre-mixed in a bottle with a foaming sprayer, and clean & protect at the same time!
