  1. Chris is correct on the point that how dirty they get and how quickly will vary greatly. My recommendation is that if you are going to try going over it again, pick a small test area, I usually go with the lower area of the rear quarter panels and see if another road makes a difference. If you take a close up picture before you start and then take another from the same distance and light, you'll know if your work effective or not.
  2. Glad to know the products are working for you. The pads will collect the contaminates being removed and should be cleaned with a brush on a regular basis. When I am using the Swirl Killer, I clean the pad after each panel, sometimes more often if the vehicle is heavily oxidized. I also have multiple pads so I change to a clean one when they become to too dirty or saturated. It is not usual to go through 4 pads per vehicle and then I wash them all once I'm done wit the vehicle. The pads for Swirl Killer will last several years if taken care of, even with moderate use.
  3. Hi Henry, Here is a link that is newer, but still does not cover all the products.
  4. Hi Matt, I just corrected a Mini a few weeks that was a might bit worse than this one. I have all the equipment, which made it easier. However, I did my initial test spot with hand polish. The Scratch and Swirl Remover along with Hand Polish may do what you are looking for and it won't require the investing in equipment and pads, unless you plan on starting to do more corrections. The mini that I did sat outside for years and if you look at the picture of the roof, it was spotted like your car, but much worse. I did post the mini and it is here The other option, given you are considering have a detailer do the car and since you are close to the Adam's Colorado location is to make an appointment with the Adam's Shine Stop. They are experts on the Adam's products and will ensure that you have the right products to maintain the vehicle after it is corrected. https://www.theshinestop.com/
  5. Like Dan, I have used Brilliant Glaze to remove water spots more than once from coated vehicles along with glass. In most cases it does not take a lot of effort to get the water spots out and if you follow up with hand wash and Ceramic Boost or CS3 as a drying aid, it will look as if you never touch it and maybe even a little better.
  6. Hi Henry, welcome to the Forum. That is a pretty truck already and with a few Adam's products, it'll really look great and be easy to take care of. I have the baby Z71, also known as a Colorado, and absolutely love my truck. My wife has a GMC Terrain Denali and it has more chrome than your full size and my Colorado combined. I do like working with the paint that GM/Chevy uses on their trucks and SUV's. I have found it rather forgiving, yet it holds up well and will take a good shine. The members on this site have a lot of experience and everyone is helpful. I have been detailing for around 35 years and made the switch to Adam's a few years ago and couldn't be happier with the products and more importantly the people.
  7. Hi Jamey, I have had bottles open for upwards of 60 days that have been kept in a cool location with the cap on it. If you put the cap on it, haven't opened it since you capped it and it has been kept out of the heat and cold, it should be ok. Unfortunately, the conditions under which it was stored, how long it was left open originally and the weather conditions when it was open can all affect the longevity. I have not had any bottles that did not get used within 60 days and all my chemicals are kept in a climate controller area. As for the bike, I would recommend doing the bike on the same day you are doing another vehicle. It took me almost 2 hours to do my bike with all the small parts, yet it didn't use enough product to even notice I used any.
  8. Welcome to the Forum and nice progress on the Mustang. I have done a Mustang or two and some were rather bad, like the Roush I did last spring. I went through multiple pads on the car to get everything cleaned up and use a pad brush between each cycle. For most vehicles, I plan on 4 pads, sometimes it is less and sometimes it is more. I have a mix of pads which includes some of the older Adam's pads, some from another vendor and some of the newer Adam's pads. While I was not a fan of the older Adam's pads which is why I was using another vendor, the new Adams pads are equal to the other vendor and as the older Adams and other vendor pads wear out, I'll be switching to the Adams pads. The one thing that no other vendor has been able to match is customer service. The Adams customer service includes listening to their clients which is why the products are always evolving and improving. Here is the thread on the Roush: This forum is also a great resource of information, use the search it works well and ask questions. You'll even get the Vette and Canary members to help out us Mustang guys. If you search for 20+ year old Mustang you can see the second one I owed, my first one was a '71 Mach I
  9. For the any type of smoke whether it be cigarettes, cigars, pipe or joints, the Odor Bomb works pretty good. If the seats and headliner are cloth, you may get some odor coming back after the vehicles has been used and sat in the sun. I also recommend a good cleaning with Carpet and Upholstery cleaner for anything fabric related and the Leather Conditioner or anything vinyl or leather leather, including both sides of the sun visors. If it is a sedan, don't forget the area being the back seat and truck and the door panels are another are to to hit. As Chris stated, the important thing to do is stop smoking in the vehicle to keep it smelling clean once you getting smelling better.
  10. I have had Wagyu and Kobe several times and would never turned them down, but I did decline to purchase wagyu for the Christmas dinner. If you have never checked out Allen Brothers, I recommend doing so and I will give them my personal endorsement.
  11. Some of the anti-virus and anti-maleware software using web crawlers and check sites and when one has had an invalid cert for an extended period, they are mark the site as suspect. Then it takes several rounds of the web crawler once the site is repaired before the vendor's robot will update the library to show the site is valid and not a hijack. Avast sends out almost daily updates although many of them get double checked by a human. Then there is the whole solarwinds fiasco that has caused major slowdowns and many extra validations on suspect sites or ones that were having problems. Make sure you are receiving your database updates and things should clear up in a few days.
  12. I do hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I am looking forward to seeing 2020 in review view mirror.
  13. Welcome to the Forum. What I can tell you about the Adam's products and dust is that since I switch several years ago, the amount of dust and ease of removal has been welcome. I'm in South Carolina, so we not only get the dust, but also heavy pollen in the spring and both come right off from the garage queen and my outside vehicles. The only time it tends to be a bit sticky is when the pollen is rolling and there is a heave dew. A little CS3 or Detail Spray takes the residue off with no program. The Graphene Detail Spray is rather new and makes my red vehicle look fantastic and I'm sure it will do a great in the spring.
  14. I have been eating rather well recently between the Chef daughter and a gourmet cook originally from Albanian, there is just no lack of quality and quantity. While I am always in charge of bringing the wine, I try to take care of whatever I can. Over the last week, we've had home made Beef Wellington, Albanian lasagna, homemade bread, multiple desserts, breakfast pastries and much more. I also know that our Christmas dinner will have a 4 rib bone in roast for the main course and well I did not splurge for the Wagyu, it is a top of a the line roast. In addition to paying for the roast, wine and multiple other items, I decided to take care of the cooks Equinox. Here is a sample of the items that I received in traded: This is what I did in turn for what is shown above. I'm sure I am getting the better end of the deal, even though the SUV came out pretty good
  15. Thank you Dan and I'll make sure some goodies find their way to you and everyone who helped.
