  1. That's pretty cool and love the "Skeeter" find. I presume you still in the Sumter area? Someday when this Covid stuff gets over and we can run around, we'll have to meet in the big city between us. Good luck with the tree's. We have some near us that are taken care of and they sure seem to produce a lot of nuts and the 2'sh acres or so look so nice with everything aligned and trimmed to perfection. I had to laugh the first time I went to Sumter from Lexington and was told about the 1/2 way point and there is was nice city to stop and relax in. When I got to Eastover and realized that if you sneezed, you'd miss it. It actually is a cute little town and the people have always been friendly when I have passed through there. If this gives you an idea of the size of the place, this is from their town website I really do think they shut the whole town down at 5:00 PM and there may be 750 people in the town. It is actually a nice drive between Columbia and Sumter and there is always activity around the Base.
  2. Hi Jimmy, I have a few comments on this thread. From the chemical compound aspect, I can tell you that Ultra Shampoo and and Oil can be cleaned up from your garage floor using kitty litter and then APC will help lift it off the concrete. It doesn't matter if it is a 16 oz bottle of Ultra Shampoo or a quarter of Oil, it works for both. I have taken the scientific test to ensure that the theory was correct. As a side note, there are two really nice clean areas on my garage floor from the testing. As for the Chrome cleaner, while I am always looking for improvements, I have to say I am absolutely satisfied with the results that I got when I cleaned up the 20 year old bike and made it shine. It proved the point that I have been informed that I have a couple of bikes heading my way this spring to do.
  3. I prefer Spray Wax on the side windows and back window, everything else gets Graphene Detail Spray at this point. I have been using Spray Wax on the side windows and rear window for about 5 months and have found it holds up well for one to two weeks, it doesn't streak when the window goes up or down and has a nice reflective property from the outside.
  4. For the ease of cleaning tires and wheels I use the Wheel & Tire Cleaner. It does a very good job and you only need one product to cover both items. For high end wheels and the ones that are coated, I use Eco Wheel Cleaner the separate Tire & Rubber Cleaner. The Eco Wheel Cleaner does not have the harsh smell for one and I have less concern about it stripping anything I've previously done to wheels. When I get steel wheels or ones that are corroded or just not take care of years, then I pull out the regular Wheel Cleaner. The stuff stinks, but it will take off the nastiest stuff you can imagine. I do no use APC or ECO APC on the tire or wheels, but have found the Eco APC works well for doing the fabric fender wells. A few squirts, go over them with a brush and hose 'em out. The regular APC works just as well, but foams a lot when you hit it with the hose, which is why I prefer the Eco for that purpose.
  5. The first thing is to find out if it is truly etched into the surface or on the surface. Since it is a Glass surface, I would try a small area using Brilliant Glaze. If nothing else it will ensure there is no chemical residue remaining on it. If that doesn't work, I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to see if you can use #0000 steel wool on it. I use that on windows on a regular basis and it does not scratch itself, yet will take out light scratches and waterspots on the glass. However, I have not used it on a Tempered Glass cooktop, so I do not know if there would be any adverse effects.
  6. If you plan on doing detailing on a regular basis it is well worth getting a Swirl Killer. It will last you many years and your family will love what you can do with vehicles. Then if you get ambitious you can make a few dollars on the side by detailing vehicles. Just practice before you start having people pay, paint jobs are rather expensive.
  7. Here's the information that I was provided. The item in the box once assembled will occupy approximately 77,760 cubic inches. That was at least a hint stating that it requires assembly, therefore it is most likely larger than the box. However, it was again confirmed that the contents are Red. From what I can see on the outside, it is a couple of feet square and a few feet tall, but it I have no way of knowing if it is on its side or upright. I was hoping for a new 52" wide toolbox, but the box isn't that big.
  8. I received a box today and was told that I don't get to open it until my birthday, which is in about a month. It is a pretty good sized box and all I've been told is that it contains something Red and that I'll like it - honestly, is that much of hint for me? I know it isn't a new vehicle or even a play vehicle, the box is not that big, but it is much bigger than a breadbox. Now, everyone on the forum can start thinking about what it might be and wait to find out along with me.
  9. Welcome to the Forum Zane. Rich has you covered with information above. Don't hesitate to ask questions, that is what we are all here for.
  10. Welcome to the Forum. The car looks great. I see palm trees in the background, so that gives me a good idea that you get heat, sun, tropical downpours and love humidity. I'm in South Carolina and prior to the world of Covid was in Florida on a regular basis. My neighbors are always looking to see what is in the driveway getting washed and sometimes I even to do my own. The only thing more relaxing that washing the vehicles is a round of golf.
  11. While I have not yet coated a car, truck or SUV without machine polishing, I have done multiple golf carts and motorcycles by only doing hand polishing. I find the machines too difficult to get into many of the spaces on the bikes and golf carts, so they would end up 50% by hand anyway. By taking my time and sometimes going over areas 2 or 3 times, the bikes and golf carts have come out rather well. No matter what I am working on or planning to apply to it, the clay, iron remover, polish (hand or machine) and prep wipe down are key to getting the item as prepared as possible. In fact, I even did an entire Range Rover Evoque by hand and it came out gorgeous and only took me a week to be able to use my arm again.
  12. Are you a DHEC inspector in your other life? You sure could frustrate the restaurant managers, including my daughter, with your ability to find rogue fries.
  13. Hi Daniel, I'm in agreement with you that CS3 is a kick tail product and I absolutely love it. I was really amazed when I paired the Graphene Spray coating with CS3 and turns it into CS3 on Steroids. I also absolutely love the Graphene Detail Spray on coated and non-coated vehicles. Not every vehicle I touch ends up with Graphene Spray Coating, it is really up to the person on whether or not they want that or something else. However, my personal vehicles will all be Graphene Spray Coated within the year along with my kids and their spouses. This is a choice for the daily drivers and garage queens. Whenever I find my next toy, that may not end get coated and may end up with Patriots wax on it. It is all according to what I find with a leading contender being a '72 Stingray that has sat outside, uncovered for over 10 years. I would love to bring it back to life and while not up to the standards of '71 Mach 1, it would make a nice play toy. The sports car that my son-in-law is building may not may not end up being coated, that is up to him once it is completed. The only we know for certain it that we'll have Adam's products on all of them.
  14. Sheet rinsing followed by Detail Spray, CS3 or Graphene Detail Spray have become my preferred method. I really like the Graphene Detail Spray, it gives the vehicle an extra pop, even more than what Brilliant Glaze used to do.
  15. Welcome to the Forum Michelle. It sure looks like you learned a lot of the video's and forum, the Palisade looks great. I like the wheels you got and if you haven't already picked up the Wheel and Tire Cleaner, I'll recommend adding it to your next order. Also, if you take a look at some of the pictures that Rich recently posted of his Equinox or that I posted of my Daughters Jag, the Graphene Detail Spray puts an unbelievable shine on Black vehicles.
  16. @Jonathan SouthworthThat is really cool looking and you have a nice collection going. Thank you sharing for helping the Adam's team correct this mistake. Their quality is outstanding and every once in a while they do prove they are human and make a mistake. The one thing that you can always be assured of is their customer service takes client satisfaction well above and beyond expectations, which is what makes Adam's such a great company to work with.
  17. When it is cold in South Carolina, I use a couple of methods to keep my hands warmer than would be expected. First is to use warm water to fill the buckets. This has the benefit of keeping the wash mitt warm since that is what you are holding onto and it allows you to hold your hand in the water to warm them up if necessary. Second and even more important is wearing disposable mechanics gloves. These are form fitting and can be picked up online or any automotive parts store and things don't slip out of your hands, including the brushes. The added advantage of the gloves is they keep your hands dry and if there is a breeze, the wind is not able to hit your exposed wet skin. One of my neighbors has a pair of dish washing gloves that goes up almost to his elbow and and I'm sure they would work just was good to keep the water and wind from making you cold.
