Sweet, nice work on one of my favorite vehicles.

Burt getting rubber shifting the auto after picking up Sally in the wedding dress is one of my favorite scenes in the movie.

Ok here we go, on hot days and the shade is no where to be found I use this method.

Start with the side that's shaded on your truck and then you can turn it around after you are done with one side, I also carry large towels and put them on top of the paint section I want to work on to cool off the paint. Do one section at a time and you can also start early in the morning to beat the heat depending on where you live. If you want more tips tell me what color of paint your vehicle is?

Remember if you start working on a car, you can stop and finish during all hours of the day. Practice makes perfect.

Remember since you are new here chip what I recommend first when starting to detail your own car for the first time, when correcting paint use the least invasive method to start off with because you only have so much paint to work with.

I wouldn't worry about burning through paint, you will be using a orbital machine and not a rotary buffer, today's orbitals are very much safe to use.

I'd offer the 3.5 gallon is great for the following:

    - Brushes/Wheel Woolie. Fill up the bucket enough to cover the bristles, and they can sit in there between tires/wheels, making it an easy way to carry them and keep grime from your other wash/rinse buckets.
    - Presoaking towels before a wash. Since the grit guard fits, too, it'll help hold them down in the water.

Bottom line, as Chris and Robert mentioned above, it depends on what you're after. Pretty sure you'll find a use for the smaller, 3.5g buckets in your arsenal.

Shane is right, very generally swirls come from touching of the paint by something abrasive. That can be improper washing (not saying that is what it was), someone rubbed along the vehicle while parked, something lite (a plastic bag) blew across the paint while driving at speed, no proof, but I feel like excessive dirt build up could swirls a soft paint in the rain as it rinses off when driving.

I have so much of the older products I could change the outer dimensions of all three of my vehicles and have some left over.

Some Adam's All Purpose Cleaner should cut right through it, Wheel Cleaner if that doesn't work. I've never had it get stuck like that. You will need to reapply and wax or sealant as either step above will remove the protection.

Darker yellow 'golden rod' color compared to the lighter yellow we've had for many, many years, strawberry banana scent, and a 'NEW' sticker will be affixed to the first several batches, just like we did with Glass Cleaner a few years back.

Goals for the update were for even easier removal if the product sits on the surface for a bit, more depth and shine, and added durability per application compared to the current version. I wasn't really involved much with the testing and development of this particular product, so I'll have to get any further information from Adam

Went to the Portland Swap meet today, got to pick up some Adam's stuff from Gary Parham. No time to use anything for at least another week as I head out to Pocatello ID to cover our customer site for the week.

All it takes is a wet car coming in from the rain and parking on the next level and the water dripping off that car runs down through a joint in the floor and drips on your car,May only last a few minutes and an hour later everything's dry.The dried on minerals that the water carries on to the paint can be hard to get off.

It looks like extremely hard water etching to me, had a black rental on one of my trips to Pocatello. It was swirled, but that isn't relevant, the hotel had a sprinkler system that go the car wet no matter where i parked and had super hard water. That thing had water spots you could feel by then end of the week.

The parking in garages comes down to water dripping on the vehicle that could have filtered down from upper levels of a garage picking up who knows what as it makes its way to your vehicle.

Best bet is to remove one and bring it into the store with you. Match up the size and thread pitch and select a stainless or nylon option.

I see your point, but Adam's does at least let you know up front where the products are made. The change was brought on by us, we the consumers wanted products not available from US Companies, so Adam's researched places that paid living wages and treated their people well as sources for the new products. They still back everything 110% so the quality is there and at least you are supporting 1 American company in still shopping with Adam's.
