Can't go wrong with Patriot.  But like you, I wasn't ready to go all ceramic, so I started out with the Ceramic Paste Wax on the Cadillac and the Vette . Very happy with the results, and easy to maintain with the Boost.  When I bought the Equinox, I decided to give the Graphene Ceramic Spray a try. Gave it the full breakdown, wash, clay, polish, wipe down, and Graphene.  Much easier and less time consuming than the regular Graphene and FANTASTIC results.  The Nox is black, so it's very unforgiving and it came out near perfect.  I maintain it with the Graphene Detail Spray, and one day when I was just goofing off, I wiped down the CPW coated Vette with the Graphene DS, and let me tell you................it looks like it's dipped in clear coat!  Amazing difference.
Anyhow, you don't have to go into the full hard core ceramic or graphene route.  The sprays and/or the ceramic paste wax give great results.

Firs I just want to say I am a long time Adam's user.  I remember when his product line was Detail Spray, Swirl & Haze Remover, Buttery Wax Undercarriage Spray and a few different types of Micro Fiber towels.  I also was always a polish and wax type of detailer.  Old school I guess.  Well about a year ago I decide to try the Ceramic Spray coating because I knew I could remove it a lot easier then the full 3-5 year coating.  I will admit I was a little skeptical but went for it any way.  Now this was Adam's first Ceramic Spray coating that came in the kit of Surface Prep, Ceramic Coating and Boost.  It was shortly after that the UV version was released.    Well that application is almost a year old so I decide to strip it off and apply a new coat using the UV spray.  Well I believe they said it was the say as the original except for the UV feature.  If it I may have not done some thing correct the first time because this seem so much better.
First off the car spend a lot of time in the garage cover and especially now with COVID it seems to see even more down time.  So the car was clean under the cover, but I decided to clay bar the surface first, then I used the One Step polish and One step pad.  I did about half the car the first day stating with the hood.  Later that night I went out to the garage and noticed the the hood seemed clouded it wiped right off and had the shine that was there earlier.  The next day I went out hoping to finish and apply the ceramic coating, but the hood was all hazed up again.  It still wiped off, but I was concerned if I applied the ceramic would it haze up under the ceramic.  I decided to seek some help on the forum.  I waited a hour to see if I would get any advice, but finally decided to try the standard white polish and white pad.  That did the trick and the hazing issue was gone.  Turns out falcaineer replied and suggested the White pad and polish.
So after completing the full polish/paint correct I was ready to start the ceramic coating process.  I wiped the car down completely with the Surface Prep,  Then I started with the hood applying the UV Ceramic Spray Coating half the hood waiting the 1-2 minutes before removing.  Followed this procedure for the entire car.  This was Wednesday so I knew I need to let it cure before adding the boost, so I let actually sit until today tp apply the boost.  I finished it around 11 am today and then backed it out to get a few pictures.  So here is the finished product:  Yes I guess I am a little anal as I also did the door jambs.

Edit: Clarification from our chemist. The Vivid Detail Spray is indeed a color and scent change. The website description was most likely a copy and paste mistake from a previous limited edition bottle like the 20th Anniversary Detail Spray, which was an updated formula.

Our regular pink Detail Spray is still the same formula that we have had for the past 7+ years. Apologies for the confusion.

An orbital polisher is exactly what you WANT to use since they're "random," by definition. Rotary polishers should be avoided.

FWIW, my 8-year old GT500 has matte-finish vinyl stripes and I HAVE used my orbital polisher on them with no ill-effects.  The "harshest" products I used to do so were white foam pads and Fine Machine Polish (when it was available). Doing so can remove minor blemishes, stains, water spots, etc.  Generally, however, I used a combination of VRT and Matte Detailer, both hand-applied. If you haven't seen it, this video provides great insight on caring for factory vinyl stripes.

I've since ceramic-coated the whole car, including the stripes, making maintenance a lot simpler.

Something I always say and teach, true shine comes from proper paint correction. The rest is enhancement and protection.

I've also said this on here many times... people are probably tired of reading it, but I have yet to find a better combo on white than Paint Sealant and HGG. To my eyes, it just pops, plain and simple. And I've coated and Ceramic Paste Waxed mine, too. Still prefer PS and HGG.

Agreed with others above. Too many layers of too many products, or even of the same one, can adversely affect the visual clarity and finished look.  Also, since you clayed, and did so twice, you likely added some level of marring to the finish, decreasing the ability even more for the paint to really shine. Just something to consider next time.

Don't worry, it still looks great! We all have our preferences, and there's no single way to do things. Sometimes it's simply doing different things until you find what you like best.

To me the 20th Anniversary DS smells just like the 2019 Cinco De Mayo DS.  Which reminds me of the tropical flavor fruit roll up/fruit snack. And I LOVE IT

I am still playing with the updated/new formula of DS,  and while I enjoy the shine and protection/beading it leaves,  the additional effort to work the product in, is not up my alley.  But I’m still experimenting

Matte and satin colors really pronounce body lines as you can tell. And when set against a gloss accent really brings out the details.

As red/burnt orange as it looks under the fluorescent lights, it’s more orange in natural sunlight.

2Fords got a reaction from Rb1274 in 20th Anni Detail Spray
The first time I used the new updated detail spray formula was the 20 yr anniversary . My son and I used it as a drying aid. Both of us thought it had a tendency to "push around"
alot more than the original formula. Outside temps were in the low 50's. Also, stained our white drying towels permanently. I ordered the new Frost detail spray because it was the new formula and  white or light colored (yea). Used it yesterday back to back as a drying aid and on a dry car, right next to   the original detail spray. The new formula is definitely harder to wipe off ,much more streaking to get a clean finish. (new Frost color does not stain towels though). Both my son and I think the original formula still will be our go to detail spray at this point.
Sometimes the old standby is the best!

I have this and a couple other limiteds they have put out with the new formula.  My thoughts pretty much mirror yours, except for, as a drying aid it just married up with the water and smeared all around.  It was like mercury droplets on my paint, literally wouldn’t go away.  So I really hope they stick with the current pink formula.

Who all has used the 20th Anniversary Detail Spray and what are your thoughts? Is there another thread on it I may have missed? I only saw the intro thread but nobody really talked much about it from a review perspective.

i used it for the first time and I’ll say I liked the shine and how it functioned as a drying aid. However I noticed it took quite a bit of passes during a final wipe down using it on a dry surface. It also wasn’t near as slick feeling as the OG Detail Spray. Seemed to grab a bit in the plush towel. Scent was good but there again I think the standard Detail Spray is far and away better and really iconic and associated with Adams. Hope they aren’t going away from that color and scent. This spray probably packs more protection and shine.

if it’s me, I probably use this boosted version as the drying aid and the pink DS for the final wipe down.

If you MUST wrap it,  I think the Lavender or Aquamarine would look best on your Lotus. Personally, I like it orange but would be old school and put chrome wheels on it.  Stay away from that ugly *** avocado.  🙃

Its beautiful as it is!! But if we are going with a change...since its already orange..cross the “matte orange” off the list!  I do like the orange (either matte or as is)  but if you are going to put in the time and expense,....GO different!!!
Cant wait to see your work!
