Dan@Adams got a reaction from Nickfire20 in Lint on windshield
One thing I failed to mention, if there is contamination (like fine over spray) built up on the windshield or other glass, the Brilliant Glaze may not always be strong enough (it usually is!) to remove the contamination, and this could be causing the linting. If the windshield surface has some contamination embedded into it, that can make your towels drag with some tension, which could be pulling the tiny lint fibers out of the towel. So if the surface still feels rough after using Brilliant Glaze, or if you notice that your wipers chatter, I would take some Glass Cleaner as a lubricant for the Medium Grade Clay Bar, and then clay the windshield (or other glass) to make it nice and smooth again 👍

Hi @MikeMan, and welcome to the forum! For removing lint fibers on glass, sometimes just one spray of Glass Cleaner with a clean microfiber Glass Towel can take care of the lint fibers; however, this can then contaminate that towel with the lint fibers, and then if you wash that towel with other microfibers, then they could lint afterward too. For this reason, I take a different approach.
I like to put 3 or 4 drops of Brilliant Glaze onto a Gray Microfiber Applicator Pad or a Blue & Red Patriot Applicator, and then spread it evenly over the glass in an up/down or left/right motion. Allow the Brilliant Glaze to haze up for 20-30 seconds, and then take a clean Edgeless Utility Towel to remove the residue and lint. The Edgeless Utility is a tight-weave, low pile microfiber material that will work well to remove the residue with minimal chance of adding any more lint to the glass surface. Then I wash all of my utility towels separate from my more plush microfibers for paint, so that I don't have to worry about any cross-contamination.

Dan@Adams got a reaction from tlbullet in Rinseless wash
Hi Alisha, if you're using distilled water it can last longer than that, and yes you could mix into larger batches as long as you keep it in a sealed container and shake it up before each use.
7-10 days with tap water sitting in an open bucket is fairly accurate though. Just like if you leave a bucket in the garage with water, Car Shampoo, and a wet wash pad in the bucket, after a week or two it can start to get smelly and possibly even have mildew build-up depending on temperature and humidity. I've done this on accident before and had to then soak the wash pad in Towel & Pad Revitalizer and pressure wash it out to get the bad smell out of it.
I usually keep a bucket of mixed Rinseless Wash solution for 1-2 weeks to wipe down my cars after a drive, but in the summer months I always end up finding small bugs in the bucket - they must like the smell of the rinseless solution - so I usually spin of the gamma seal lids onto the bucket after I'm done cleaning a vehicle. Then after 2 weeks or so, I dump out that bucket, and mix another bucket with another 2 oz or less of Rinseless Wash.
For clay lube, I usually just mix one 16oz bottle at a time, using 1oz or less of Rinseless Wash, since 16oz is usually enough for me to clay a vehicle. You could definitely mix up a larger batch though if you are detailing multiple vehicles per day or week 👍

Dan@Adams reacted to RayS in Water Spots On Ceramic. What’s The Removal Trick?
Like Dan, I have used Brilliant Glaze to remove water spots more than once from coated vehicles along with glass. In most cases it does not take a lot of effort to get the water spots out and if you follow up with hand wash and Ceramic Boost or CS3 as a drying aid, it will look as if you never touch it and maybe even a little better.

Dan@Adams got a reaction from Mike E. in C7 Paint Correction
As Chris mentioned, our Compound and Polish are fairly low dust, but they can make some, especially if you do not start with a clean pad, or the compound has time to start drying into the pad.
I will agree with Chris in that C5 and C6 Corvettes have very hard clear coats; however all of the C7 Corvettes that I have worked on I would say are in the soft to medium range in terms of the clear coat, and are easier to correct than previous generations. GM invested in a new paint shop for the Corvette a few years back, and it is my understanding these updated paint jobs began showing up in November 2017 when the plant reopened. Having said that, if you are seeing a lot of swirls from the previous owner, you will still most likely need the Microfiber Cutting Pad, but you may only need Blue (Compound) and White (Polish) Foam Pads.
Lastly, be very careful compounding and polishing around panel edges, as some owners have reported paint peeling/flaking issues where the front bumper and front fenders meet, due to a very tight fitment of the panels.

Dan@Adams got a reaction from falcaineer in Water Spots On Ceramic. What’s The Removal Trick?
I would try Brilliant Glaze or white Polish by hand applicator first before any kind of machine polishing. That should hopefully remove the water spots without fully compromising the coating, depending on how long the coating has been on the vehicle.
Sometimes even just going over the water spots with some Ceramic Spray Coating or Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating if you have either of them might take care of the spots, since there are solvents in the coating - plus you get the added benefit of adding more protection onto the already existing coating 👍

Quick side shot , VRP and Detail spray, about 3 weeks ago CS3 was applied to the car and wheels.

Dan@Adams reacted to Mantis in Graphene coating on satin finished wheels
I have Satin Finish wheels on my Charger. I use CS3 on them every few washes. Probably once a month they get spray coated. In Between I use Detail spray.
So my technic is I wash the wheels and tires with Wheel and Tire cleaner, the purple stuff works great, once a month I'll use wheel cleaner or Iron remover just to see if there is any brake dust build up.
Then I use a leaf blower to dry the tires and wheels. After I finish the rest of the car , jams , detail spray drying agent etc. I'll grab a bucket with a lid and use it as a seat and go around each wheel with either Detail spray or CS3 and give them a coat. It takes about 5 minutes to do all the wheels. I go back around with Tire Dressing I use VRT As I totally enjoy the Satin finish.
Once you use this process , your wheels have a heard time keeping brake dust on them. I can wash my wheels most of the time with just a tire bucket filled with Car Shampoo and a Micro fiber towel. The Tires also stay very clean and super easy to clean after you keep up with them. Soap and water and I may or may not re dress them after each wash depending on how they look after I air dry them.

Dan@Adams reacted to Chevy_Salon in Hello! New Member Here
Hi all! I just bought a new 2020 Silverado LTZ, Z71 Crew Cab. I was surfing the internet to get info on car care products and ran across Adam`s Polishes site. I really liked all those videos that show how to detail vehicles and all the products looked top quality and easy to use. There was a lot of things I did`nt know when I read a bunch of articles in the Blog. Still have a lot to learn. And these products make washing and waxing enjoyable again.

He keep all the cars around the house clean. My Son and I are detail freaks so pastime is detail time. If my Son washes his Audi S4 , he usually turns to his Mom's car when he's done.
He really likes the Purple colors and enjoys getting it all shined up. I'm pretty fortunate that way I don't always have to wash it. But if I did, I don't mind I also enjoy spending time in the driveway and garage.

Got my lint off. Sparkles gone to. Used Adams glass boost and glass cloths. Bought some Graphene as well for detailing the body. Wow wow what a product. Wind need to ceramic the car with this stuff on there. Love Adams products. Simply the best and my distributor here in Canada Glen Yates the best detailer I know.
