mc2hill got a reaction from Rich in Cleaning foam
I have been successful in cleaning foam pads and block with Tide Free & Gentle.  I use a small container and fill with the Tide, put in the foam applicator, and let it sit for a few days.  When I rinse it off the foam applicator is clean, and the Tide can be rinsed down the sink.  This is the ONLY way I have found to get Paint Sealant out of pads.
A client uses this stuff to clean parts on his brass cars (he has even had large stainless steel boxes made for big parts!), and it makes a great hand cleaner too.

Been too busy on house projects.

    Home Theater wall is done.

Workshop coming along, took a long time to get all the cabinets with them being out of stock.

Landscaping almost finished.  Hauled in lots of good dirt.  Record setting heat this summer has not been fun.

Next project is the detailing area.  Cabinets and sink are in, but need to get the pressure washer, hose reels and deionizer transferred from my cart to the wall.  Once that is done, I can focus on getting this thread back on track with detailing posts!

Thanks @mc2hill good to know that the LPS / G&G works well for you because Florida conditions would be close to what I am in

Still waxing right now...but gonna experiment with either LPS/GG...or maybe try the Graphene ceramic spray

    Thanks for yoyr feedback

@IslanderI use the 2nd method on my cars and that works great in Florida.  I try do the LSP in the cooler months, then use H2O G&G as part of my Rinseless Wash.
Wash panel Spray with G&G (I switched to a Tolco sprayer to allow for more adjustment to the pattern) Spread/level with damp towel (only used for G&G ) Wipe dry Done!

    Hello everyone,
I decided on a Swiss Trax floor for my garage. Check it out. I think the Pressure washer looks awesome sitting on it. The Splash of Red really matches well. I also have a Adam's Sign that looks really cool with the flooring.

Adams- We need more Garage accessory's! I have the cool Wall shelf that holds the Wheel woolies and some bottles on top and I plan on some of the bottle holders but how about some more cool stuff? I need to continue adding cool stuff to the garage.

After two plus weeks the SS was in need of a bath. Filthy wheels were cleaned with Adam’s Wheel and Tire cleaner, Adam’s wheel and tire brushes and my favorite Adam’s Turbo Stick. They were then rinsed and treated to a shpritz of Rinse & Coat. The vehicle got foamed with Strip Wash, allowed to dwell, then rinsed and refoamed. Second rinse left the SS near perfectly clean. I washed using Graphene Shampoo and numerous MF wash mitts in a bucket. Sheeting rinse left the SS with hardly a drop on it but the plush drying towel made quick work of the remaining water. VRT  on the cowling, Ceramic Boost on the glass and a coating of Tire Armor on the Michelins finished her off nicely. Interior wiped down with Sweet Pea Interior Detailer. Then it was off to the showers. P U was I ripe!

After a shower and pics I went to look at it’s possible replacement and was ignored by the sales staff inside the showroom and out in the parking lot. I’ll visit a different dealership on Monday since they seemed to not want to take my money and shiny ride. Left there and went fishing but should have just gone home as fishing stunk (as did the pond.) Took a pic as I was walking back to my clean ride. ♥️

Tomorrow, bright and early before church,  I’ll wash the wife’s Beast then possibly mom’s Corolla after services.

I recently bought a used ATS-V. I was happy with every aspect of the car except for the wheels. I used all of my Adam's wheel products and still had stains/water spots that wouldn't come off. I even tried some distilled white vinegar, and that didn't work either. Finally, I decided to use my drill with the Adam's mini pads and Adam's polish. I'm extremely happy with the results.

mc2hill reacted to RayS in Preparing for Spring 2020
The last week has been a busy week and it is hard to believe that it has been a year since I update this thread.   During the time the market has came back, business is picking up, the redesign was completed and engineering drawings submitted for approval. The inspections have been completed and this last Thursday the concrete poured.    The first picture is the redesign of the garage and the second picture was taken a couple of days ago after the concrete was poured.

The ramp extends to the walk in door since having a gap and step into the walk in door would have most likely lead to someone getting hurt.  The ramp does extend out 36", so we've looking a putting a horizontal cabinet there to store the garden hose, pressure washer, bucket and such and it is a 84" opening.

The building should be done in 4-8 weeks and the item that may be much longer is the garage door.  We're getting it to match the one on the attached garage and have been told it could be multiple months.  Given that we started this endeavor in January of 2020, a couple more months isn't going to make a difference at this point.

I finally had the time to do a full detail on the wife's 2018 Chevy Equinox.  After the wash and clay bar the previous day I took a lot of time looking over the body for paint issues and found only a few minor issues and was able to correct them with my Swirl Killer.  After the complete polish of the body I used the surface prep and them began the application of the ceramic spray.  I forgot how much more work was involved on this then my Corvette but finally finished.
    Here is the results>

mc2hill reacted to RayS in Rv maintenance
    Hi Jaime,
There are multiple options for the RV.  The optimal method is the Graphene Spray Coating, but that will take a lot effort and expense.   The next two options make it a bit easier to keep up with and they are the Wash and Wax and H20 Guard and Gloss.   If you travel regularly and need to wash the bugs off, the Wash and Wax is a good option, easy to use and when used with a Foam Gun or Foam Cannon, it is easy to do a large unit.

Adding a topper of H20 Guard and Gloss will lengthen the time between full maintenance, but it comes with the added effort of needing a ladder to effectively get all all the areas.

According to whether you have the rubber roof or fiberglass roof, you'll want to make sure you keep it clean and protected.  The roof and the gutters is where most of the chalking or black lines come from.  If your gutters get clogged and the gunk sits for a while, you'll start picking up some streaks.  Also, along the top of the windows and vents or anyplace that organic material can stick and rot can contribute to the marks.

You mentioned that you used CS3 recently, there is a new CS3 that is Graphene based.  While I have not been able to try it yet, I have every other Graphene product from Adam's and am very impressed with the easy of use, longevity and how the vehicle looks.  As good as CS3 already was, I suspect that the Graphene CS3 will be outstanding.

Good luck with your 5th wheel.

mc2hill reacted to Kyle.E.Woyote in "Routine" after Americana ....
    Hi there, first post..

I've recently converted to Adam's through my friends and was wondering on a good routine...

For wax, I'm using Americana (over B.Glaze) after a fresh, claybar, compound, and polish w/swirlkiller. Killer fresh start, amazing results.

I'm going to finish applying the B.Glaze and Americana tonight, but I'm curious on the maintenance/top-up thereafter.

My ole Buick doesn't ever see rain, (barely even a wash in years) is garaged and always covered. short drives here and there, occasional track visits.

Is detail spray the way to go? I have seen Ceramic boost mentioned in a vid even works over top of Americana for a lil extra somethin' somethin'?

    I appreciate any input all!!

Ordered my 21 Silverado RST this spring and between the weather and vacation had not had time to do a full detail. I started with a strip wash, tire/rubber cleaner on the trim, clay mitt on the paint, finish polish and than Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating on the paint and trim.
Truck sits outside 24/7, so will be interested in how long the coating lasts. Was happy on how easy it was to apply and remove. Will follow up with the Graphene soap and detail spray to maintain.

Welcome to the forum.  If you are going to do PPF then polish and have the fil applied.  Then you can coat it.

At a minimum a polish will be a good idea.  You may not need to compound.  The test spot will let you know.  You will get more gloss and the maximum performance from the coating.

It is very easy to heat up these fiber pads (vs. foam pads).  When working with fiber (wool or MF) I use 2 pads and rotate them after each section.  I use the pad, clean it, swap to the other pad, and polish the section, repeat...  I have melted a backing plate on a long throw polisher using MF pads without letting them cool...it was a little scary when the pad detached and went flying across the garage, but thankfully no damage was done to the '67 GTO convertible clone I was working on!
