Don't forget a Rinseless wash can be diluted to be a waterless wash and a clay lube. And some are pretty decent quick detailers too at a specific dilution. A Rinseless wash is a must have product for a weekend warrior or a production detailer.

Rinseless you use like the normal 2BM except there are no suds only a super slick solution.  Also, you usually use some sort of microfiber instead of a wash pad, but I'm sure Adam's will be releasing a video on how they recommend to do it.

Overall: This is my first time doing a full detail with Adam's. I'm very pleased with the quality of the products and ease of use. Detail took 9 hours, but clearly the results were worth it.

Had borrowed a friends truck for a few days to do some moving of furniture and the like. As payment I told him I'd clean his car up.  The wheels were disgusting! I mean, I don't know if this kid washed his car in the past 10 years kind of dirty.  I'm just going to let the before and after pictures speak for themselves.  I am insanely impressed with the way this stuff works. Definitely doesn't smell like the other products but it is absolutely bearable for what this stuff will do for your wheels.

Hot_Wheel reacted to hoss in NO! Please don't tell me they washed my car...
Here in Canada with the snow and salt I take my vechicles in and get rustproofing sprayed on the undercarriage and in the doors, etc. every year. They spray the cars then take them outside and wash them as there is overspray all over. I always tell them no and do it myself after I get home. I just cringe watching them wash car after car with the same brush   on a long pole. One time they did a muddy 4x4, then a nice late model Mustang next. My cars are a real mess after to clean up but worth it for the protection for the winter.

Truth be told, with a hoody the back graphic is not very effective (typically mostly hidden).  I think front-only is fine.

I can see your point on the agitation but I also pre-soak my towels with some APC and water in a five gallon bucket, and pre-treat before they go in the washer. I don't rinse them when moving from one step to the next to keep the whole towel treated with what is sure to be a trace amount of APC. Has worked very well for me so far.

How about if everyone prepays the higher price ($49 or $49 plus $5) and if we get the 100 needed orders it is donated to one of Adams's favorite charities? This way there would be no need for refunds and everyone would know the price going in.

Apparel is one of those things that we kill off because no one buys it, but as soon as its gone, everyone wants it again.

I'll get some quotes on small runs of hoodies, but we may make this a pre-pay kind of thing so we don't end up with hundreds of them sitting here collecting dust again.
That way the people who legitimately want one, get one, and we don't buy more than we need.

I think my initial investment was about $2K, over a period of several months.  That got me everything I needed to fully detail my cars several times over.  Now, I replace/re-stock as required, taking advantage of specials and events to get the most bang for my buck.

Hot_Wheel reacted to Kat in New car dealers and how, umm crappy they deliver cars..
Well I know Im new to the forums and stuff. I've been reading here for quite a bit tho. Gotta say great place.

So anyways.. I've been involved with two new car purchases this year. One for my girlfriend and one with my brother. The GF got a 2013 Accord with the V6 and nav. My brother just picked up his 2014 1SS Camaro Blue Ray Metallic with white stripes. Both times I told the dealer not to worry about cleaning the car up and I'll do it.But they did anyways. Grr.  Mostly cause I'm pretty anal about cars. My GTO is like a sheet of glass again and I like to try to keep my cars that way.

Well when the gf took the delivery of the Accord I couldn't wait to get it home.Because of the splotches in the paint in certian light (yes I pointed it out to the salesman haha), swrils and just some lack luster shine to the new paint.

Then with my brothers SS, the swril marks out the a**, the salesman cleaning the car with window cleaner and paper towels (I told him just to effing stop...) dirty inteior and a few small scratches. I don't have any of the Adam's paint correcting stuff, but I am very avid user of the 3M product line and my rotoray buffer.. lol I have been now for the past 15 years or so and for the "top coat" as I call, I used Zaino all the time after the correcting was done..

Ok you're wondering how the eff does this go along with the Adam's stuff.. Welp here we go, Back in Feb of this year, my GTO was hit on the drivers side while it was parked. Ok no big deal just take it to the body shop and have it fixed....... Which turned into repainting most of the car except the roof trunk and spoiler... haha Opps.  (Don't worry I had them repainted that stuff also so the car is all one color now)

I was thinking that while the car was apart I might look into what new car care products there are out there and came across the Adams stuff over on ls1gto.com.. Hrm I thought to myself and looked into for  a bit.. Then after that didnt put much thought into till my gf got her Accord. Which just happened to be around the time my GTO was getting repainted finally.  I went to check on the GTO's progress and they had what I wanted repainted... Then I looked at the roof of it and noticed how Zaino looked friggin awesome when applied correctly, it just didn't do anything to the paint. Like it didnt keeping it from aging... If that makes sense. Right then I new it was time for a change again. It was 15 years since I've used something new to me anways.

That is when I looked back into the Adams stuff. Went online and bought the detail kit in a bucket with the Americana. When I got , the order in, I couldn't wait to get to cleaning up the GF's car. Holy s*** I was impressed.. The Accord had the "pop" that the car should of had when it left the dealer. Everything went on smoothly, the clay bar got all the rail dust off the car, the glaze made it look like sheet of glass and a nice wet look to the paint.

Samething with the brothers car. He coulding beleive today just the difference the glaze did to the shine and wet look to the paint of his SS.

Thats how I new I made the right choice in switch over to mostly all Adams stuff..

    *whew* rant over. lol

Hot_Wheel reacted to Fierce5 in Lease or Finance, very undecided
Well, personally, I financed and leased before and I can tell you that leasing IS the better and smarter solution from my own point of view. Here's why:

With leasing you can simply sign and drive, zero out of pocket and boom you have a brand new, reliable car with no mechanical problems and lower monthly payment than finance.  With leasing, if you decide not to replace the car after the end of your leasing term, you can simply buy the car and "finance" the residual value Now the money that you would save by not putting ANY money down, can be invested in your 401K plan or any other investments (brokerage account?) and that should earn you in this bullish market an average of 8-10% percent depending on your risk level. To me this is a much smarter decision than throwing money in a moving, depreciating object. As far as mileage, to me it's the same thing, you lease a car, you go over mileage you will pay the overage and move on (unless you are leasing a new vehicle from the same dealership and in this case they will eat the mileage difference or melt it in the new payment). When you finance, and you go over the national average of 12K miles/year, your financed car will take a hit when it's time to trade it in (probably by the same amount of money you would have paid for the mileage overage). So, no matter how you look at, it's all math at the end and because it's math, it MUST make sense. The only way I see myself financing is if I buy something like the C7 or another Camaro. Now with those cars, understandably you would wanna modify them somehow, maybe replace the exhaust, tint the window, etc... in this case leasing is not the best option for you. Also the money factor and residual value used for leasing sports car are terrible so you're better off financing.

    Hope this helps
