Different owner, different focus.  And I agree with you.

I miss the days when Adam's was focused on what made the company great - outstanding detailing products and exceptional customer service.

Recent emphasis seems to be on endless "flavors of the day," clothing, tchotchke, etc. 😢

Black Bowtie reacted to Norton in looking for adams leather conditioner. not spray stuff
Answer from another long-time user of traditional Leather Conditioner is an emphatic NO, I don't.  IMO, moving from the original to a spray formula is an example of "fixing" something that wasn't broken.  I'm disappointed to see so much (unnecessary) tinkering with the product line since ownership changed.

Thankful for Adam's assistance in acquiring a case around the time it was going out of stock.

I still use it on my daily driver as well.

Looks like the never-ending rename, relabel, repackage merry-go-round replaced Revive Hand Polish with "Adam's Hand Polish."  (Notably, its URL still includes "revive-fine-hand-car-polish.")  It shows as available in 12oz and 4oz bottles directly from Adam's site.

I suppose it makes me a dinosaur, but I miss the good old days of simple and stable product offerings that lasted more than the current sale.

If you are looking into waterless washes, you should also consider Rinseless washes.  It’s kind of in between a Hose and bucket wash, and a waterless wash.  Good for when your car might be a tad too dirty for just waterless. There’s a few ways to perform it, but I always use the “bucket of towels” method.  Plus you can dilute the product to make a waterless wash type spray.  Rinseless is my favorite product.  I’ve done rinseless and CS3 a few times, and it might be my new go to combo. If they can come out with Rinseless with the same tech as CS3, it would be awesome.

I have both of my rides protected with the GSC.  Full correction with polishing is the way to go.  Without the polishing, you're not going to get the BEST results.

As Mc2Hill recommended thought I'd give the Stingray alittle love using Brilliant Glaze then Americana. When I did the Biscayne it had been a few weeks in-between the BG & AMERICANA. Today I went back to back. I did remove the BG before applying the Americana. Turned out very nice.
Just did a waterless wash on her first as she wasn't really dirty, still have to do the wheels but almost ready for Corvette Expo in Pigeon Forge mid March.

Have had a new container of  Americana for a few months now. Never have used this product. Decided to give it a try while watching the game today. Put a coat on BisQuick and Goodness does this wax apply wonderfully. Did panel by panel but don't believe it would have mattered. It removed just as easily as it applied. Gave the paint alittle deeper wetter look. Think I'll do the wife's Escalade next with it. Here's a few after pics. Great winter therapy..

Black Bowtie reacted to RayS in Two Year Comparison
After two years we were able to go back to Florida to see the wife's father and visit my aunt & uncle.  This also gave me the opportunity to take care of the golf cart and redo the headlights on the Suburban.  The golf cart was done in November 2019 with Adam's Ceramic Spray Coating, which is the first picture.

The second picture is from November 2021 after getting washed and dried with CS3 and I must say that I'm impressed with the longevity and how good it looks.  I can tell that the black trim on the front needs to be redone and I will look at going to the Graphene Spray Coating in the spring. There is no doubt the Ceramic Spray coating held up well for 2 years given that the golf cart gets used every day since it is the way the father-in-laws gets around the park.

Next up is the headlights on the Suburban and I already knew they had gotten pretty bad again.  I expect that I'll need to do the headlights on at least an annual basis if not twice a year.

    Before

after using the Adam's Headlight Kit that used to be on the web site with the two pads and little bottles of correcting, finishing polish and detail spray along with the Swirl Killer Mini.

As I was working on the Suburban I had five people stop and ask me if I did that for a living or if I had a card because they needed theirs done.  Unfortunately time did not permit me to take on additional jobs since I had more items on my list for the two houses than was possible to get done.  At least I know I won't be bored on the next Florida run

I think that would be a great idea, the slicker you can make your wash mitt the better.
I have added RW to my two bucket wash water before that also makes things slicker.

I do this every time.  I mix a big pressure bottle with Rinseless Wash and pre-spray before I do a multi-towel Rinseless.

My son-in-laws help me on a regular basis and all too often they'll have streaks and I won't.  9 out of 10 times it is because they apply too much product and/or have a towel that is too wet.  A little goes a long ways and it is easier to add a bit more product than soak up or wipe off excessive product when someone uses too much.

The old Orange was a great product - often all that was needed.
You could use it with a drop or 2 of Blue Heavy Correcting or a drop or 2 of White to achieve astounding results easily & quickly.
I have a Detailing business & the new process is way too slow. 2 or 3 passes often to get the same results & almost always have to use the white to finish.
I like Adams Products but when i run out of the old Orange & Blue Heavy Correcting I'm likely looking for replacements elsewhere.
For me it's a matter of time- just can't be going over & over panels with Polish that doesn't work.

I don't believe your thread will get enough attention. But this seems to be the sentiment amongst most people using the new stuff. BRING BACK THE OLD!!! I'm on the last couple of bottles as well and after reading some of the reviews, I may look elsewhere to replace these. Not sure why they took a step backwards.

I finally had the time to do a full detail on the wife's 2018 Chevy Equinox.  After the wash and clay bar the previous day I took a lot of time looking over the body for paint issues and found only a few minor issues and was able to correct them with my Swirl Killer.  After the complete polish of the body I used the surface prep and them began the application of the ceramic spray.  I forgot how much more work was involved on this then my Corvette but finally finished.
    Here is the results>

Black Bowtie reacted to Mantis in Continental DWS06 and DWS06 tire dressing issues.
YUP, I get it and if you don't own them, you don't get it.
What I did was I took advise from another member and used Adams Tar remover. Here are the steps

    1) Clean your tires until no brown comes off. I use Wheel and tire cleaner cut 50/50. I use Adams Pump sprayer. I give the tires a really good cleaning until they are perfectly clean. Usually the first scrub does the job but I check them with a second cleaning to make sure there is no Brown at all , just white clean suds.
    2) I use a leaf blower to dry the tires.
    3) Then I get a general purpose Microfiber , a older one I will throw away after using and Spray Adams TAR remover on it. I wear rubber gloves the whole time just saying. I wipe the effected shiny areas of the tire to wear down the clear coat like marks. It's like clear coat got on the tires and TAR removes it pretty nicely.
    4) Now I apply VRT with a Adams Tire Sponge. I use very little product and enough to cover the tire but not soak it. If you soak it, the dressing will build up in the letters and then run out when you drive it. It's madness and I hate that.
    5) Let first coat dry for about 15 minutes and then apply another coat. After this coat, you can walk around with another throw away Micro Fiber towel and buff the tires so no dressing is hanging out in the letters.

This procedure only has to be done once, then it's dress as normal and they are almost like normal tires. I got my tires pretty damn nice and I like the way they look now. I actually can not dress them for a few weeks and the VRT holds up nicely. I now only clean them with car Shampoo which I put in my Tire bucket and basically clean the tires with a micro fiber towel that I put in the bucket.

My wheels are spray ceramic coated and they don't hold any brake dust week to week and I got Brembo Brakes. I can clean them with a micro fiber towel or a wheel woolly with the sam Car Shampoo in the tire bucket.

Her's the final result of how the tires look currently.
